UNDER WATER

In 2020, our family connection allowed us to unite experiences, talents, and passion for the sea to work on what makes us happy: eternalizing the exuberant beauty of marine ecosystems through our photographs. This work is our first joint publication.

The collection in this book, the vast majority of which is unpublished, is carefully selected within our image bank over the last 12 years. In this, the purpose of showing art in nature under the surface of the sea prevailed. It is the product of two different visions and generations who share the goal of using photography to motivate appreciation of the underwater world and strengthen interest in its conservation.

Through the images captured in Under Water, those who venture into this dive will be able to experience a particularly intimate vision since most photographs were taken less than a meter away from our subjects: spectacular views and exotic species of the seas in the world, including some of the largest and many of the smallest; the latter can only be seen using specialized magnifying lenses.

En 2020, nuestro nexo familiar nos brindó la oportunidad de unir experiencias, talentos, y pasión por el mar para trabajar en lo que nos hace felices: eternizar mediante nuestras fotografías la exuberante belleza de los ecosistemas marinos. Esta obra es nuestra primera publicación conjunta.

La colección contenida en este libro, en su gran mayoría inédita, es una cuidada selección dentro de nuestro banco de imágenes de los últimos 12 años. En ésta primó el propósito de mostrar el arte en la naturaleza bajo la superficie del mar. Es el producto de dos visiones y generaciones diferentes, que comparten la meta de que la fotografía sea instrumento para motivar a la apreciación del mundo submarino y fortalecer el interés por su conservación.

A través de las imágenes plasmadas en Under Water, quienes se aventuren en esta inmersión podrán experimentar una vision particularmente íntima, ya que casi todas las imágenes fueron hechas a menos de un metro de distancia de nuestros sujetos: vistas espectaculares y exóticas especies de los mares del mundo, incluyendo algunos de los más grandes y muchos de los más diminutos; estos últimos sólo se pueden apreciar utilizando lentes magnificadores especializados.
